VNC with Knoppix

I need to install VNCserver on a Knoppix box running off of the CD. I have a USB jump drive, and i can install the VNC package onto the jump drive. When I run VNCserver, it says that XVNC is not in the path. That's fine...it shouldn't be when running Knoppix.
So I type:

$PATH=$PATH:/mnt/sda1/vnc

which is where i installed the vnc program on my jump drive.
now, when i run the server
$ vncserver :3 -depth -8 -query 170.xxx.xxx.xxx -depth 8

it gives me an error in the log file about libc6.1-1.so.2.

My question is....is there a way to modify the Knoppix 3.6 CD so that vncserver is already installed, and i don't have to go through all of this USB drive crap?
