    Old version MANDRIVA

I have an old version of MANDRIVA which I used to run on my Table top PC. Either myself or a member of the family must have hit some wrong button and I cannot get it to boot now. It dose not recognize the usual password I was using all these while. I am thinking to just uninstall it an give another distro a go. Can I get a step by step guide on how to uninstall it. My table top PC have both Window XP and the MANDRIVA in it. Thanks.

Removal of the old system is not required before installing another Linux. You can simply install some other Linux right over the old system using the same partitions. Just direct the installer to use the existing partitions for the new install.
