Using 2 PPPOE accounts same ISP connect through same interface eth0
Hello everybody,
I'm using CENTOS 5.5 and I want to connect to internet using 2 pppoe accounts same ISP and i have a sigle NIC eth0.
I used adsl-setup to create pppoe connections, 1 is ppp0 and second is ppp1. When i use /sbin/ifup ppp0 it works, i can use the internet, but when i try to use /sbin/ifup ppp1 while ppp0 is connected, nothing happens, i did ifconfig and there is only ppp0 showing.
I'm a BIG NEWBIE of linux, i need to know step by step how to make this work, i heard something about a virtual network... but nothing clear.
Thank you in advance,
Ionut

Hello and Welcome.
Perhaps it would be best if you try and explain precisely what it is that you are trying to accomplish here. I think that might be the reason for no replys yet.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.

Hi, MikeTbob, thank you very much for your reply.
Sorry about that, i have a server and i'm hosting a cs1.6 server that uses by default port 27015. A few days ago i requested from my ISP for another IP so i could use it to my second cs1.6 server that uses the same port (i don't want to use another port than 27015) and the ISP has created me another pppoe account. Now i have 2 pppoe accounts and one NIC.
I want to route the incoming/outgoing traffic from my second server through new ip, which is actually the new pppoe account.
What do you suggest? If you don't know, i'll buy another NIC, but only if it is a easier way.
Thank you very much, and excuse my language, I hope this post it will make things more clear. If you need any other information, just name it.
Cheers,
Ionut.

Hiya!
I really don't have a suggestion for you but the details you provided will almost surely get more replies. When the person who does know the answer comes along, he/she will have good info to help you with. I'd suggest waiting on buying a new NIC right now, there may be an easy way to do this.
BTW, your language is fine.I do not respond to private messages asking for Linux help, Please keep it on the forums only.
