I've heard rumors of being able to run the Accelerated Reader programs for windows via crossover or wine. Does anyone here have any experience with this?...

Accelerated? Do you mean accelerated via eg DirectX, OpenGL or someother API that utilizes the graphics card/drivers to do drawing?

Accelerated Reader is a reading evaluation program from a company called Renaissance Learning (www.renlearn.com). They have a suite of software for schools to use to document and evaluate progress in the core curriculi such as reading and math. Currently we are forced to run these programs on windows.
