File conversion
When I use "convert" (Imagemagick) to convert jpg to bmp or png to bmp the result displays with kolourpaint but will not save and gives a "Could not save image - unable to create temporary file" error. I use no qualifiers. Is there something I do not know about here?

Not sure, but it may be that the file system /tmp is in is full, or there is some other conflict.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

What's giving the error, Imagemagic or Kolourpaint?

The error is from Kolourpaint. I suspect the Imagemagik's CONVERT I use is not properly converting from the .png file but don't know why. There may be a parameter I left out and don't know about.
