I am running gentoo linux and installed w3m-img from portage. When I run w3m and press "o" I get a page of options and select yes for displaying in-line images. When I exit options images aren't shown and when I press o the option for in-line images is back to no. Other options persist after I exit the options menu.
Do I need to install an external image viewer and configure it to be used by w3m? I have found no tutorials or instructions of the sort so I have no idea what I'm doing wrong
