    EggDrop installation - no C compiler

    Hello,
    I tried to install eggdrop bot on my server, but it states this:

    configure: error: in `/home/tominos/eggdrop1.6.20':
configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH
    Linux version: Linux stroj.802.cz 2.6.18-194.32.1.el5 #1 SMP Wed Jan 5 17:53:09 EST 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

    I have SSH access to the server, how can I install the compiler? Is there some easy way?

    The easiest way I found was using

    johoho.eggheads .org/eggdrop/ - precompiled EggDrop.
