I'm unable to get the mouse cursor to hide when using mplayer-vaapi to play a movie. I'm using mplayer-vaapi in the slave mode and launching it from a GTK application. The application is being remote controlled and the mouse is not part of the user interface, therefore the mouse cursor is annoying. Seeing the mouse cursor displayed in the middle of a movie screen is also annoying. I'm able to hide the mouse cursor in my GTK application using gdk_window_set_cursor(window,pixmap), but I'm unable to get a similar scheme to work with mplayer. I'm probably trying to do it at the wrong time & place. Does anybody know how to hide the mouse cursor in mplayer-vaapi?
thanks in advance,
Steve
