NIS problems
I have setup NIS server a long time ago and it worked fine until 2 weeks ago.
When I add a user to my Linux I can see it in my /etc/passwd , shadow etc...
I issue the command make under /var/yp and i see that a new passwd maps (byname and uid) are replaced.
when issue the command ypcat I dont see the new user althogh the server functions o.k. for all old users.
when I issue the command strings passwd.byname or strings passwd.byuid i can see the new user is there.
What might be the reason the the maps are not reflects the new user.
I have checked and all processes like ypbind rpc.. portmaps and etc are running.
also all old users may use the NIS system with no problem.
Thanks for your assistance...
