Hope this will help someone who needs eGroupware CE 1.8 running on Linux box.

eGroupware 1.8 for Fedora 13 (i386)

*Pre-requisite
- LAMP (Linux / Apache / MySQL / PHP)

Install eGroupware (eGroupware Enterprise Collaboration)
-assume that you have eGroupware-1.8.001.20110421.tar.bz2 at /tmp

# cd /tmp
# bunzip2 eGroupware-1.8.001.20110421.tar.bz2
# tar vxf eGroupware-1.8.001.20110421.tar
# mv egroupware /var/www/html
# chown apache.apache /var/www/html/egroupware –fR

[Additional packages might meet your requirements]
# yum –y install php-mbstring.i686
# yum -y install php-mcrypt.i686
# yum -y install php-pear
# yum -y install php-imap
# yum -y install php-dom
# yum -y install ytnef.i686
# yum -y install php-gd.i686
# yum -y install php-ldap

[Additional PEAR options]
# pear install HTTP_WebDAV_Server-1.0.0RC6 // Must Install WebDAV
# pear install Auth_SASL
# pear install Net_IMAP
# pear install Net_Sieve
# pear install XML_Feed_Parser
# pear install Log


[php.ini configuration changes]
upload_max_filesize = 16M // set max. file upload size
date.timezone = "Asia/Hong_Kong" // set your timezone
mbstring.func_overload = 7


[JpGraph PHP5 version]
Download from jpgraph.net/download/
# cd /var/www/html
# gunzip jpgraph-3.0.7.tar.gz
# tar vxf jpgraph-3.0.7.tar
# mv jpgraph-3.5.0b1 jpgraph
# chown apache.apache jpgraph -fR


[eGroupware configuration]
# mkdir -p /var/lib/egroupware/default/files // where your upload file stores
# mkdir -p /var/lib/egroupware/default/backup // where your backup file stores
# chown apache.apache /var/lib/egroupware/default/files
# chown apache.apache /var/lib/egroupware/default/backup

firefox: your_linux_ip /egroupware
