Minicom and cisco hardware.
I am using minicom to connect to a cisco router that I am using for my ccna exam.
Does anyone know of a way that I can upload firmware via minicom ? Is this even a possibility ?
I have googled but have not found much on the subject.

What protocol does the Cisco router use for firmware uploading? Is it just raw mode, ot does it use any of the standard serial protocols?

If it can be done with HyperTerminal, then it can most probably be done with minicom. I can't say that I've actually used minicom much, but it would surprise me much if it couldn't handle the standard protocols like XMODEM and Kermit.

Thanks for that, I digged a bit deeper into the man page and am using xmodem to transfer.
