    Kazaa Lite / Wine / Mandrake 9.1



    I am trying to get kazaa lite to work on M9.1 i read all the documents i can find on the net even some how to guides to run kazaa lite and i know im close. when i run kazaa.exe it begins to load i see the kazaa logo and the main GUI part but it instantly crashes and i cannot click anythin on it and i have to Xkill it , the terminal dumps a HUGE list of stuff that i have no idea what it means but im sure someone here can make sense of it and maybe put me in the right direction. I have all the dlls that everyone says are needed installed and stuff im just lost... heres the terminal dump (sorry its so long but if i dont post this i'll never get kazaa to work by myself and i need my music!!!) you can email me at fed@gsmax.com if you dont wanna explain how to fix this on the forums.     have you seen the section on installing it in my guide on the software page?
    i have never installed it in mdk so I am not sure it will work

    OK, I've installed Wine now and it seems to be setup as a service and starts up everytime in reboot the machine. Now the problem is everytime i try to run a windows program i get the following error: wine: chdir to /tmp/.wine-root/server-303-c7d35 : No such file or directory.

    what do i do to fix this?

    You just ran into the same problem as I have been having with wine. It isn't creating the socket and I have not been able to figure out why yet.
