Domain on fedora 14 for windows 7

hi everyone

I am new to linux and need some assistance, i want to create a domain using fedora 14. i have a home network with 4 windows 7 machines and the fedora machine. i want to create a domain for file sharing and permission purposes.(Also password reset features would make my life easier) plus i have never set up a domain and think that i could learn something out of this.

is there any software that i can use to do this? samba?
from all the google searches i have done it all seems very confusing. can samba create and control a domain? or just create file shares over the network?
can this be done?

please help, i need it
