I have a problem regarding my mail server.
I have installed and configured my mailserver correctly and it works. But it's acting as an open-relay at the moment.

I did try to make it a closed-relay server but I came across some problems.
All the configurations that all the 'topics' say about making SMTP AUTH just fails for me.
I've installed sendmail and saslauthd.
When I do:

my mail logs (lvl 15) says the following:

During the telnet session, Authentication is required but AUTH is not available.

I'm stressed out on this now for almost a week now and I don't know anything else besides requesting for your help.
