Question Etherape Data Capture to an XML file

    Hi,

I installed Eherape 0.9.12. I want to get the network data to an XML file which is possible in this version using the export option in the GUI.

I want this XML file to be created by a command and want all the data within a particular time to be captured to the XML file and this is not possible from the GUI export option. It only captures the data at that time period of the command execution.

could anyone assist me on this?

    Thanks

i am not at all familiar w/etherape, but if it is a command line too, you could set up a cronjob to run at the times you require:

    something like:
    Code:
    # run etherape at 10 min after midnight, daily
    10 0 * * * /usr/bin/etherape $ARG1 $ARG2 > /tmp/etherape.log 2>&1
