Find number of pages for Devices subsection, using man utility?
Hello my CLI savvy friends!
I'm reading a Linux book and doing the exercises on the last page of each chapter. Im doing fine, then I get this question:
How many man pages are in the Devices subsection of the system manual?
(Hint: Devices is a subsection of Special Files)
I have no clue what this is, I'm not sure I can even understand the question. I know based on the FHS standard, linux system manuals are divided into ten sections. But I'm not sure if I even understand that either.
Can somebody please tell me what the answer to this question is and how I would find that answer out for myself (so i can learn)? I'm using Fedora.

Try typing man man. That will tell you what the man sections are and you will be able to work out which one you need to look at."I'm just a little old lady; don't try to dazzle me with jargon!"
