[SOLVED] torrent client for SL6

I looking for torrent client for SL6 distribution. Please let me know the best client for torrent downloads and help me in installing the same.

you could enable the EPEL 6 repo for your distro. Go to the EPEL main page to see about installing it for your SL box. it basically entails installing Yum repo files to /etc/yum.repos.d/ that are aware of your distro release (6, in your case) and architecture (i386 vs x86_64) and is usually achieved by simply installing a *-release.rpm. once you do so, you'll have at least these clients available via yum:

• rTorrent
  
• transmission

To install these clients, you'd do:

yum install transmission-gtk rtorrent

you don't need both, but that's how you'd install them both anyway.

There are surely others. To search the repos for torrent-related packages, you can do:

yum provides *torrent*

Warning: that command might take a while to run.
