    Irssi ping timeout

    Hello,

    I'm receiving ping timeout every 240~250s more than a week, I'm connected to freenode, I already test with others channels (on freenode) and I have this same issue. I tested with others IRC clients, same problem.

    I'm connected to the internet by dhcp.

    I don't believe that this is an application issue. Try making sure that you're connecting to a freenode server that is quite close to you, preferably in your own country.

    If that doesn't work, then I would probably recommend finding a new ISP.

    Unfortunately, there is no freenode server in Brazil, I changed the connection port and I can get connected more than 5 minutes now, thanks for the tip
