Don't know. Booted up my Slackware Laptop. I have Firefox 15.01 installed on it also. Same directory/location of plugins also as my Debian Testing installs.

    Code:
    biker:/~
    harry:$ cd /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
    biker://usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
    harry:$ ls
    gecko-mediaplayer-dvx.so* gecko-mediaplayer-wmp.so* libnpjp2.so@
    gecko-mediaplayer-qt.so* gecko-mediaplayer.so*
    gecko-mediaplayer-rm.so* libflashplayer.so*
    biker://usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
    harry:$ firefox -version
    Mozilla Firefox 15.0.1
    biker://usr/lib/mozilla/plugins
    harry:$ which firefox
    /usr/bin/firefox
    Code:
    System: Host: biker.shop.net Kernel: 3.0.8 i686 (32 bit) Desktop: Xfce 4.8.3 Distro: Slackware 13.37.0
So I am not sure where your upgrade went fubar. This is 32 bit slackware also.

It must have been the particular build I got the binaries from the ftp site than the http website and everything worked fine.
