    shared mail folder


    I have two differents user counts in my machine. I would like checking the mail in any of them (from the same email count) and that in the other user count when i open the program of mail the mail ive downloaded are in the inbox (offline).

    I want a shared inbox folder between two linux users in the same machine. Is that posible??

    How will you be receiving mail? I guess it's via sendmail.
    Here's how I'd probably do it (at first, at least, before I come up with a more elegant solution):
    Redirect one user's mail to the other (via /etc/aliases, for example).
    chown and chmod that user's mailbox accordingly (it must be readable to both users). I'd probably add a group for it.
    Read the mail only from that file. It should be configurable in the user agent.
