installed fedora 17, lan assigned IP address, but everythings else has worked (unless there is some ipconfig tables that need set), mutt already installed, so is mta sendmail.

I send a message it hangs there for a while, the merrily comes back. No message outside server has been received. Not sure where mutt's log is nor where sendmail is for that matter (have checked the net for sendmails server yet). Would like for it to send updates my way from programs, for me to keep where the activities I have planned are to be.


So....... where to start?
