    ALSA dmix issue

    Hi,
    I have noticed that using dmix produces a pop/click sound at the start of the playback stream, if I use any other plugin, I dont hear it, how to overcome the pop/click sound as I need to use dmix.

    Not sure, but maybe your soundcard is using powersave? These are the most known cause of 'pop's and clicks'.
