Looking for a video editing program
I am looking for a video editing program a la Windows Live Movie Maker. What would you recommend that does not require a 2 year study course to use (like e.g. Gimp, LOL).

You can find more video editors listed here:

Should you decide to try any of them, be sure to use your package manager if possible rather than downloading and installing from source because it makes for easier installation, and easier removal should that be needed.oz

Thanks guys. I will try the Kdenlive - just downloading it. The description looked good. And yes OZ - only thru the library. That is the first lesson I learned.
Btw: I am running Zorin in VMware from an external SSD. Nice little OS and flexible VMware setup. I can run on any PC without reinstallation. Once I have 15 posts, I will post the links to my tutorials I made on how to make that kind of installation.

I have tried KdenLive, but whenever I open a video file (.mp4 or .wvm), Kden Live crashes.

Check out cinelerra as well as kdenlive. If kdenlive is crashing, then you have probably a library versionitis problem. How did you install it, via the aptitude/apt-get/dpkg/synaptic package managers, or via source code (configure, make, install)?
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.

I solved the crashing problem. Now it works. Was 'operator error'. I will also try cinelerra. Thanks.
