Question Looking for an OpenSource intranet storage service.

    Hi there.
I would like to install a service in a intranet infrastructure, possibly Opensource, able to store huge files (media, documentation) so that users avoid to send heavy attachments in mails, but they can store files in a file server that could be a published web server too, and they can write a unique web link in the mail to these files, so that remote recipients of the mail can download them by their own via standard http/https connection.

    Any idea, suggestions?

    Tnx in advance.

OwnCloud and AreoFS have unlimited storage, but the storage is all on your devices so you will need one computer on a all times.

Thank you very much for your suggestion, electroman.

I'm just evaluating OwnCloud and it seems to work fine, in a local area server where I install it, just what I need... If I didn't misunderstood, AreoFS works with external/public storage services instead.

Thanks again and I let you know.
