    PLZ HELP tcpdump


    hello , i am using fedora 17 on vmware player.
    i making a project of end of study in university , i need to use command tcpdump to capture traffic , but the problem here is that: when i use tcpdump -i eth0 it works very fine and i see the traffic and also tcpdump -i eth0 src net 192.168 it works also , but what i need is :
    tcpdump -i eth0 icmp -c 100
    when i use it no traffic appears at all!!! how to fix this problem plz?
