    Firefox vs ie

I cannot explain this phenomenon . Looks like it doesn't matter if IE is preloaded on windows it will still start up faster the firefox. Does anyone have a way to explain this.

Most likely all the holes in IE make it lighter and thus faster to bring up.

Don't really care how mch faster IE is, that sucker is not going on my system, especially Linux. I don't even use it under Windows. Firefox all the way...

its because IE is integrated into explorer itself. therefore, when you run IE, half of it is already loaded into memory. :P
