Having trouble with Pidgin.
Lost connection with server: Bad file descriptor
Figured it might be them so I tried two other IRC chat rooms that I hang out in and got the same thing. It's like Pidgin(or any other chat client) can access the router to get things hooked up.
I even tried going to a Live USB of Zorin and installing Pidgin to see if maybe it's my Kali install that's borked but still didn't work.
No clue as to what's going on here, never had this problem before. Pidgin has always worked well for me but for some reason it's just not. What could be the problem?

Still trying to figure this one out. Not sure what I've done or should do to get Pidgin hooked into the server. Never had this much trouble in the past with Pidgin. It's like it just can't see my router or something even though I'm hooked into the interweb just fine. I'm sure someone here has an answer to this little problem.

IT was Firewall settings. I moved to "Medium" and I guess that blocks IRC chat or something. Went to "Minimum" and now Pidgin works. Go figure.
