How exactly do I install scim so it would work? I followed the scim handbook but it doesn't not work.

Launching a SCIM process with x11...
it does not launch properly.

[root@localhost ~]# Cannot create SocketServer. Maybe a panel is still running...
Even after I kill the processes, I always get this message when I try to load it up.
