    Alpine 2.11 setup

Ok folks; I'm trying to set up alpine for my netbook's mail client (Thunderbird and Firefox both takes forever to even start.). I managed to do a mail dump from a POP3, but the mail is not in the 'I Message Index' menu setting but I have to jump around on the L folder list.

Also it doesn't save the password, and it's too complex to memorize. So does anyone have a tutorial that will help me set this up? I'm on v2.11 and it seems the ones I've found are for a older versions.

    Can anyone help?

Myself, I don't any longer bother with a local email client, but use gmail instead. I used to use TBird, but it became too much hassle. I use the gmail client on my cell phone as well, so I get all of my emails immediately, and there is no futzing around with it.
Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
