Installation Instructions
- Ensure that the .bin file you downloaded is executable. You can make the .bin file executable by running the "chmod a+x RealPlayer10GOLD.bin" command from a terminal window.
- Run the .bin file by typing "./RealPlayer10GOLD.bin". Follow the prompts provided to finish installing the player.
- When you launch the player for the first time, a set-up assistant will take you through configuring your player.
- Enjoy your RealPlayer10 for Linux!
Try google next time. Or read the instructions on the site...

How do I launch the player? The installation created a RealPlayer file, but nothing in it looks like something I can just click on and launch. I checked in the Sound & Video section of the Main Menu, but there's nothing.

While we're on the topic of media players, are there any that will player windows media files?
What are the preferred Linux media players, Stormblazer?

mplayer will do that (http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/design7/news.html). so does xine (http://xinehq.de/). i'd imagine these are some of the most popular open source video players, but there's gotta be tons more that can play windows media files.

I have mplayer and xine, but when I go to pages with .wmv files, they don't play them. Do I have to set something up?
