    Software Help ParrotSec

Hi, I have used Linux in the past but it was a Ubuntu distro. I recently installed ParrotSec on one of my laptops and really enjoy it.

I have looked all over to find what I am looking for, but just can't seem to find it. I am looking for GPS software that will run on Linux and get its information from a plugged in USB or serial GPS receiver. I am planning on using this laptop in my truck for overlanding/light offroading and would like to be able to have topographical maps as well as road maps in this software.

Any help with this would be great!.

ParrotSec is a specialized distro, like Kali, and does not make for a good general purpose distro. Many secure distros will not run every piece of software especially if it accesses external devices...
Are you a clueless Kali user? If you can't get Kali running on your own, it ain't the right distro for you.
