    Disk/Folder usage monitor

    Hello all,

This is my first time to this forum and I'm pretty new to Linux.

I'm in desperate need of a program/script etc that will be able to monitor and show me the current space used in a single folder from an external computer, if that makes sense.

    Here's an example:
I would need the following folders monitored.
    /home/folder1
    /home/folder2
    /home/folder3

I would then like to see how much space they are using on either an application on Windows or in the web browser using php etc. So the web browser would output something like:

    Folder 1=15.2GB
    Folder 2=2.2GB
    Folder 3=137.9GB

I'm not looking for that exact thing and I'm pretty sure nothing like this exists because I've looked high and low but something similar would be great.

Also, I am aware that there are programs that can monitor the space of an entire disk

    Thanks all!

    -->
    open terminal, enter:
    Code:
    du -h
    df -h
if you need constant monitoring, use e.g. conky or gkrellm.
