I have downloaded an Unreal Tournament 2003 demo and after installing it when I double click the file to start it, it starts I get the logo then it exits.

I have installed the Unreal Tournament 2k3 demo but......
I have downloaded an Unreal Tournament 2003 demo and after installing it when I double click the file to start it, it starts I get the logo then it exits.
It doesn't say anything when it exits it just exits.
So does anyone know how to fix this?

yes i have the same problem except for me it loads the menus. then i click on instant action, then go to play. it goes to the gamel oad screen then right when its about to start, it exits..with no message...anyone wanna help me too?

im pretty sure you can use k3b to burn any type of file

There's no telling what an .img file is, though. Try running the file command on it to see what it is.
Anyway, try starting ut2003 from an xterm and see if it says anything then.

Yeah, I agree. Linux needs games for people to start leaving Windows. The problem is that the problem isn't with Linux; it's with the game manufacturers. Linux is even better than Windows for running games. Both UT2k3 and Q3 have been verified to run faster on Linux than on Windows, but most game developers still don't make games for Linux, only for Windows. They'll be catching on more as Linux gains more popularity.
