updating rpm database.
All,
I've a query regarding updating the RPM database.
I've installed one application (of RPM format), so it has updated the RPM database
with the details of this application. Now, I am replacing one of the file which was part
of the application, by hand, with a new one. Now if I run the RPM verification (rpm -v),
the verification will give error because of this new file.
Is there a way I can update the RPM database for that application when I replace one or
more of the files of that application manually to avoid rpm verification error ? (Those who
are familiar with HP-UX, I am asking for something similar to "swmodify")
Thanks,

I'd like to know if that's possible as well (without writing a new program to manipulate the database).
