    I just tried my cdrom after a couple months of happy computing with SuSE. I inserted a cd into my drive and it plays but i dont here any sound y is it that i can rip a cd and play the .ogg files but get no sound from the cdrom?

    Have you checked that nothing is muted? check
    Code:
    alsamixer
    and Kamix.

    Also have you got a cable going from the cd drive to the soundcard/motherboard?

    Can you play them in Kaffine?

    No i dont think i have a cable from my drive to soundcard/mobo i will have a check at that. Man its been awhile since i had the ole hood off my rig if u get what im saying.
