Could you check more exactly what it is? XFree86 does come with a couple of drivers for these ixxx chips. Check with lspci....

    I am sure it is a 82810E Intel extreme graphics controller.

    When I search on google, it appears that it's supposed to be compatible with the i810. Try setting the video driver to i810 in your XF86Config and see if that does the trick.
