    Cannot upgrade GLIBC

    Hi,

    Iam completely new to linux. I have RedHat 7.2. I want to upgrade GLIBC to the latest version from RedHat 8.0. What steps whould I follow? I tried installing the RPM but it gives dependancy problems. Pls help.

    If you get depency problems, then you should download the other required packages and install them as well.
    However, upgrading glibc can be especially perilous, since so many programs depend on its exact functionality. Why do you want to upgrade it in the first place?
