    IR Remote in XMMS

I use RedHat Linux 8.0 as my OS. When I was playing around with the configuration of the xmms I found about an option to configure remote. I have a remote that I use for my TV Tuner. Is there any way by which I can configure it so that it will work with xmms also? And when I use the visualisation plugins in it the plugins are pretty slow in response to BPM.

Sorry to disappoint you, but the remote control plugin for XMMS is only for a very specific kind of receiver (and sender). However, if you meant that you have a TV tuner card in your computer with an IR receiver, you can download LIRC to use it with your computer in general.

As for the beat response of XMMS, I'm guessing that you're using the ESS audio output plugin. Don't use that; it's bad. Use the OSS output plugin instead.
