dunno about dc-qt, but I strongly suggest you use DCGUI-QT , its damn good, needs dclib (which is available from the site only ). I havent had any problems uptil now setting it up, have installed it in more than 25 pcs (of my friends).

First of all, you need dctc to start dc-qt.
After you have installed dctc, can you from a command shell start
    Code:
    dctc
    correctly?
If not try to locate the file
    Code:
    locate dctc
if you have successfully installed the app, you should find it in your PATH environment.
