    Getting k3b to detect my drives in Slackware?


    i cant get them to detect. i tryed both setup and configure or whatever and i cant get them to work...

    well incase anyone wants to know the solution to the problem. it turned out i didnt have
    Code:
    append="hda=ide-scsi hdb=ide-scsi"
    line added to my lilo.conf

    are those your hard drives?

    I have scsi emulation documented for the newer version of k3b on my guide, but that pertains to the cd rom and writer. The cd rom needed to be added for copying purposes.

    those are usually hdc and hdd though.

    what is your configuration? or are you saying that you enabled scsi emulation for your hard drives?

    oh no sorry. thats a common question when i post that kind of stuff. i have a drive controller so my cd rom/burner are hooked up to the primary on the mobo and the HDDs are on the drive controlle.
