Home Owner Software
Hi Everyone,
I recently bought my first house
I'm looking for software for Linux that I can design things with, like yard layout and blue prints. Something similar to this would be great:

I've checked out qcad, and that's a little robust for my needs. What about Dia? Could I use that? I suppose I could purchase one and try it with Wine, anyone do that?
Thanks in advance!

I've done a lot of experimenting with Wine over the years, and I'm fairly certain I had the Sierra 3d home design program running satisfactorily under Wine Or WineX from Transgaming. A lot of those type programs for Windows can be had for less than $20.00, so it might be worth it to buy it and see if it will run under Wine.

I can see how qcad can be a little heavy for someone new to CAD. I'm sure Cycas is too much too, but it sure can make some cool renderings!
/IMHO
//got nothin'
///this use to look better
