How can I read .chm files on Linux?

Is there some kind of applications that let me open .chm files.
A lot of windows help files are in this format. While running Linux I do not need access to windows help files but I have lots of e-books in this format.

    Any ideas?

u tried putting ".chm linux" into google that usually come up with some kinda reader for a format. if u cant get anyhting then i would guess that u could open them in xedit/emacs/whatever u use for text editing and jsut try to ignore any formatting text.
