There is not a Linux version of 3ds Max that i could find on any of the main sites ( freshmeat.net, sourceforge.com, etc) but i did find a forum queston basically asking the same thing. check it out and maybe it will help. basically they suggested to run 3dsMax using Wine, but that is was HIGHLY unstable, and should just be smarter to find a Linux replacement for your needs.
