    Slow Transfers in Gaim

    Hi all,

    Firstly, I am on an internal network that is pretty fast (average about 110 KB/s download from the internet). If I am sending a file to someone over MSN, it goes really fast if both people are using MSN Messenger. If I am using Gaim under Linux, it goes really slow (about 2 - 4 KB/s). Does anyone know why this might be?

    Since I changed to Ubuntu, my transfers have been moving at an acceptable rate. I have no idea why this is though.
