There is also some frontends to them like grip or glame.

if you are suggesting that he does things from cli, it might be helpful to give the command. Grip is easy to figure out, but not everyone knows all the cli commands for each task.

If users don't have enough initiative to use man or --help, then they should not use linux.

ahh lol one thing, i know about man and --help. but am not sure how to use....never really knew...anywho, can someone elaborate on how to use man/--help?

Sure, if you don't know how eg. ls works, just run "man ls", and it will bring you the manual for ls.
For a quick reference of ls, run "ls --help" and it will describe itself.

lol wow....us BMXers are dumb...what i mean is if i get a program and i want to know the basic commands what would i man? or do README's help that department?
