    Both things should work.

    Here is a webcam-version of gaim: http://gaim-vv.sourceforge.net/

The buddy icon works fine with the MSN-protocol...

You are probably talking of the avatar pics arent you ???
I guess thts NOT yet supported in gaim. I am not sure, bcos I am using a
fairly older version of gaim rite now. But the buddy icons work perfectly
in any protocol. At least thts whats been my experience.

I ment an avatar. But problem solved. It automaticly shows the avatar. Guess the other person I was talking to didn't have one . Two other questions: 1) Is it posible to send files to a person using Yahoo!Messenger on windows ?
    2) How can I set an avatar for others to see?

    1) In a chat window, Conversation>Send file
    2) Tools>accounts>modify
