    Lookin To Play XshipWars under winxp, anyway to this???


    are there any emulators that i may use to be able to play linux based games on Window$, dont really want to put linux back on my pc just yet, but am really interested in tryin out some of these games..... Any ideas, please help!!

    I believe cygwin works quite well, though I've never tried it myself. See http://www.cygwin.com/.

    x server stip the app from a linux box

    cygwin (runs native but lot of overhead )
    emulator (real slow)
    or two boxes - you need a xserver piece of soft like (x-win(commercial))
    or vnc free

    vnc allows remote desktop but the whole desktop and is a little slow
    exporting display

    run the xserver on the windows box
    telnet or ssh to linux box
    (in side the qotes put your computers ip)
    export DISPLAY="0.0.0.0":0.0
    type the app name and only the app alone is displayed not the whole desktop though you can do that to
    important after your ip you need to enter the :0.0 to tell it root display

    (Side note: ":0.0" isn't a "root" display; it's just the first display. You can have as many as you want)
