how to scan channels in xawtv ?

I have installed xawtv (version 3.94). I started motv but didn't know how to scan the channels first. Under the Options menu, there should be an Channels (scan) item. But I cannot find it.

Can anybody tell me how to scan channels now in this version of xawtv ?

    Another question:
It seems there is a channels - frequence mapping table hard coded in xawtv. In the $HOME/.xawtv file, the real frequence is stored or only the channel numbers are stored ?

    Thanks

it's a while since I've used xawtv (Mythtv used now), but isn't there a scan command on the command line ? Try doing a "man xawtv" or look in the /usr/share/doc folder.

Use Suse 10.1 and occasionally play with Kubuntu
Also have Windows 98SE and BeOS
