I just switched from archlinux to ubuntu, i can't seem to find anything to download, it was really easy to get Xvidcap in arch but it doesn't show up on the synaptic in ubuntu even after I include the community repository.

I end up downloading the deb file from xvidcap main page but the application gave me an error,

gvidcap: relocation error: gvidcap: undefined symbol: __fixunssfdi

I'm very dissatisfied with Ubuntu , but I will give it another month or two for a fair chance. If you have any suggestions, besides downloading the source, I would really appreciated, thank you
