    sound enhancers

Are there any good free sound enhancing programs in linux? The best comparison I can make is with the Windows soundblaster technology program such as "audio hq." I guess I'm looking for a sound program that will enable 3D sound with both mp3s and audio cds. I currently own a sound blaster live value card. If anyone can make a suggestion, I would very much appreciate it.

what are you looking to get from it, support for all 4 speakers? I don't believe (as of the last time i looekd) that true 4 speaker sound was supported by the ALSA drivers, they were mirrorign the front two speakrs (at a lower volume) to the rear speakers
